  14.    The premise behind LostNet  is to setup a  network for the distribution  of
  15.  Echos and related information that pertains to nothing but users having  fun.
  16.  I belong to several different networks and was thinking it would be great  to
  17.  have one network that would focus  on *FUN* instead of having to  participate
  18.  in several different networks.  This is  an attempt to pull together for  the
  19.  first time one message base just to  have fun and without the hassle of  most
  20.  rules.  Many already have an Echo or two that they read but for the most part
  21.  the distribution of those Echos are very limited.  With LostNet it will  take
  22.  you back to the days of just having fun.

  24.    Preliminary discussions (both voice and net-mail) with 1000's of users have
  25.  indicated interest in this project.  Permission to distribute Echos have been
  26.  received from most networks that all have dumb guide lines.  This is a  brand
  27.  new Echo only a limited number of  Board have been contacted thus far to  see
  28.  if there is interest to support  our undertakings.  In addition we only  have
  29.  one thought in mind.  JUST TO HAVE FUN!

  31.    Sysops  have  been  contacted  and  thus  far  I'm pleased to report a 100%
  32.  favorable  response  when  asked  if  they  would  carry the LostNet Free4All
  33.  conference and participate.  We are encouraged with the initial response  and
  34.  have decided that it will indeed be lot of fun so we are proceeding with  the
  35.  formation of LostNet.

  37.    There are many general message Echos (almost every network has one) but the
  38.  specific Echos are  limited by rules  and that takes  away the fun.   What we
  39.  seek to do is  pull together the specific  Echos and offer them  to any sysop
  40.  that wants to  be a part  of this network.
